All natural henna body art is a beautiful, safe and temporary way to celebrate the birth of your baby. I recommend having your henna done anytime starting when your belly starts to show and has become very pronounced, 7 months up until your due date is a great time to do henna. I don't recommend scheduling too close to your due date just in case! It has been my absolute pleasure creating pregnant belly henna designs for over 10 years and have blessed 150+ mothers-to-be.

How will the stain turn out and how long will it last?
Henna stain results on pregnant bellies range from dark reddish brown to a lighter red color. Henna always stains darkest on hands and feet. Sometimes when the skin is stretched and tight the henna will not stain as dark as it does on other areas. I have seen lovely results on pregnant bellies, however it generally does stain a bit lighter on this skin area than others. Some of my pregnant clients have reported back to me a stain that lasted 6 weeks! In general, the stain will last 2 to 4 weeks.
What's in your henna paste?
I mix a special, gentle batch of all natural organic henna paste for pregnant mothers. My paste starts with fresh all natural organic henna powder, black tea & hibiscus leaf infusion, a little sugar for stickiness, and essential oils of lavendar, frankincense and orange sweet. I have consulted with midwives and have been advised that these essential oils are beneficial and safe to use during pregnancy.

Add all natural henna tattoos to your Blessingway or Baby Shower! It is quite a lovely experience for your guests to watch a pregnant belly design unfold and a special treat for them to receive a henna design to mark the special ocassion. Simple pregnant belly designs can be completed in 30 minutes or a full elaborate design will take up to 1 hour. I can create 10-12 simple henna party designs per hour on guest's hands, feet, shoulders or arms. I recommend booking 2+ hours for blessingways and baby showers. Henna is the perfect way to celebrate and add something special to this special ocassion!
Book Henna for a Pregnancy Photoshoot
Henna paste looks dark when applied to the skin. The henna stain will take up to 2 days to fully darken. I recommend either having your pregnancy photoshoot immediatly after receiving the henna design so the paste is still intact on your skin or schedule your photoshoot 2 to 3 days after application when the stain is fresh and darkest.
